Second is the name the colonists gave the planet that they have settled. Initially it was supposed to be a placeholder for the name the native inhabitants called it by but since no such inhabitants were found, Second stuck.
The gravity on the planet is only slightly lower than on Earth. It is not significant enough to make any real difference
The planet is about 60% ocean with minimal tectonic movement.
There are no outstanding weather problems, but there are semi-regular large storms of various kinds. Hurricanes are common in equatorial regions on the coast of large oceans. Tornadoes are not uncommon in the middle of continents.
